Livestock Foundation’s Community Grant Program provides project-based financial support to local organizations that share our goal to protect and promote the human, economic, and natural resources of Delaware County New York. The grant program was created to inspire collaboration amongst local organizations in order to further our shared missions.

 
 

What:

$5,000-10,000 grants will be awarded for qualifying projects submitted by a Delaware County, NY based registered 501(c)3 nonprofit or tax-exempt public charitable, religious, or municipal organization through our open-call process

When:

  • Applications open February 10 and are due May 5, 2025

How:

Organizations must submit a completed application through the link below clearly defining the scope of their project including budget, timelines, and goals.

Applications must include:

  1. Completed application form with detailed answers to application questions.

  2. Project Budget form documenting project expenses and 1 to 1 match of grant amount to expected revenues.

  3. Proof of 501(c)3 status, Operating Budget for the current year, and two prior years' tax returns.

Requirements:

  • The grant requires 1 to 1 match of requested grant funds to other project revenues. Applicants must clearly document the matching funds in their application budget and final report.

  • Accepted applicants must submit a final report no later than 90 days after the project's end date, including a completed Final Report Form, an itemized budget detailing project expenses and matching revenue, and proof of purchase for each itemized expense.

  • Proposals may only be submitted for future expenses, we do not fund previously completed projects.

  • Things we do fund: capital purchases, materials, contract labor, marketing, and project operational costs. Things we don’t fund: salaries, rent/mortgage, or utilities.

Evaluation:

  • This is a project-based grant. Applications must detail a specific project your organization plans to undertake. General organizational operating costs are not eligible for funding.

  • The submitted project must be clearly defined and the proposed budget, goals, and timeline should be realistic and attainable.

  • Your organization must demonstrate funding need and ability to complete the proposed project successfully and on schedule.

  • Connection to Livestock Foundation’s mission is an integral component of this grant. Please review our mission statement and the type of programming we support and clearly describe how your organization’s proposed project and overall programming connect with Livestock Foundation’s mission and how it will benefit the communities of Delaware County, NY.
